Enriching Local Curriculum supports community-based organisations to provide students with hands-on, minds-on learning experiences that complement and enhance student learning, in alignment with The New Zealand Curriculum, Te Matauranga o Aotearoa, and Te Whāriki. Funding rounds to become an ELC provider happen once every three to four years.
The Children’s Act (2014) - a reminder
Providers, schools and kura must have only police-vetted staff working directly with ākonga, and have policies in place in accordance with the Children’s Act 2014.
